EyeWrinkleReviews.com Review Team

Overview
Everderm-CL is marketed primarily as a cream for tightening and firming the skin, both on the face and also for the rest of the body, especially stretch marks caused by pregnancy. Although the formula is not originally intended for use around the eye area, the company does make some claims that it will improve some signs of aging near the eyes, such as crow’s feet, under-eye puffiness and the like. Therefore, the research team at EyeWrinkleReviews.com decided to conduct a review of Everderm-CL.

Featured Ingredients
Everderm-CL contains several unique ingredients primarily intended to replace lost collagen in the skin. For example, it includes Siegesbeckia Orientalis Extract, an herb used in Asia to stimulate wound healing. According to the company that produces Everderm-CL, Siegesbeckia Orientalis performs a surface effect, tightening and smoothing out stretch marks and superficial wrinkles. Some statistics suggest a moderate effect ranging from 13% to 50% improvement. Siegesbeckia Orientalis is also supposed to stimulate collagen production, but no statistics on this effect are given. Therefore, we cannot compare this botanical to other known collagen stimulators, such as Glucosamine Complex - which boosts collagen by 168%. One of the central ingredients in the formula is the company’s proprietary Biopeptide-CL, which is a signaling compound designed to stimulate production of collagen, elastin and other key skin compounds. While the effect of Biopeptide-CL on collagen production is impressive (350%), this was conducted in vitro, meaning in a petri dish in a lab. When Biopeptide-CL was studied on actual human volunteers, the effect was far less dramatic, which roughness only reduce by 17% and overall wrinkle depth reduced by only 23%. Everderm-CL also contains the herb Phyllanthus emblica, which is native to India. According to some preliminary studies on Emblica, it possesses unique antioxidant properties, which could mean that it could perform a protective effect on the skin. However, the company that produces Everderm-CL does not report any specific data on this effect.

Web Site Description
The Everderm-CL web site is fairly simple. It contains a fairly thorough description of the product’s ingredients but does not include any information about the company itself. Most importantly, while some claim that this formula will help signs of aging near the eyes - specifically crow’s feet and puffiness - the web site only mentions this in passing and does not back up these claims with any convincing data. Even though there are plenty of customer testimonials on the site, potential customers cannot buy the formula directly from the web site, but must do so through a third party, which is probably why Everderm-CL is relatively expensive ($59) for its nominal effects.

Positives
- Some moderate increase in collagen production- Unique herbal extracts included in formula

 Negatives
- Overall effect on wrinkles seems rather weak

- Products cannot be purchased directly from the web site - no free trial offered, either

- Effects on crow’s feet or under-eye puffiness cannot be verified

- No effect on dark circles

Conclusion
While we tend to appreciate products that take unique approaches to the signs of aging, we feel that Everderm-CL would probably be used best only by those with stretch marks, since this is the primary intention of the product. Since the formula does nothing for dark circles - and its effects on facial wrinkles seem moderate at best - we cannot recommend Everderm-CL as an eye treatment.

Currently, the Dermitàge Eye Renewal Collection remains the top choice among readers of this web site. According to our research, this is one of the only systems that offers separate formulas for wrinkles, fine lines, dark circles and puffiness - all working in harmony to address the major signs of aging that occur near the eye. In addition, Eye Renewal Collection is one of the only eye systems to include a special formula for thickening and strengthening eyelashes, which is an oft-forgotten aspect of eye aging.
